The best hummus is homemade, and not just for its authentic flavor! It’s best because you can control the added ingredients: using quality oils, organic spices, and just the right amount of salt. Store bought hummus is processed, and even though it says it has the health benefits of chickpeas, research shows that commercial processing methods can reduce the absorbability of these nutrients.
This is not your typical garlic, lemon, and cumin recipe. Curried hummus gives you the nutritional powerhouse punch of turmeric, curry, and other spices. Due to all the powdered spices in the mix, you will not find this to be a super smooth and creamy hummus, however you will soon be addicted to its subtle sweetness and complex flavor.
Scoop this delicious Curried Hummus onto a mixed green salad, garnish with apple slices and sprinkle with walnuts. Your body knows good, and healthy, too!
